Programme below! Local resident Adrian Beckingham has exciting links with the Maasai in Kenya. During a recent visit, he learned that a troupe of Maasai warrior dancers had been invited to the UK to do a fund-raising tour for their local school.

We are so fortunate that Adrian approached us with this news. We are delighted to welcome the troupe to perform on the Green. There will also be opportunities for question and answer. Do bring your do ations too. However small, it will all be of so much help.

2:00 PM – First Performance

• 40-minute traditional Maasai performance
  • Opening procession and introduction.
  • Traditional Maasai song and dance.
  • Demonstration of warrior jumping and movement rituals.
  • Ritual enactments showcasing Maasai heritage as hunters and gatherers.
• 2:40 PM – Audience Q&A (approx. 10-15 minutes)

3:30 PM – Second Performance

• Repeat of the first performance for a new audience.
• 4:10 PM – Audience Q&A

5:00 PM – Final Performance

• Repeat of the full performance schedule for those attending later in the afternoon.
• 5:40 PM – Final Q&A and Closing Remarks
