We (the Friends of Albion Millennium Green) were thrilled to receive this photograph of the Green viewed from above, from the home of one of our neighbours. (They wished to remain un-named.) What a treat to get this alternate view on this space that we love. And how gratifying to see the evidence of the work we carried out on the last Workday (8 March) when we were spreading fresh woodchip onto the paths. The path, seen from this angle, looks alive!

I thought this would be a great moment to share another photographic view from above, taken from Albion Villas Road in around 1994. This was before Albion Millennium Green was established but some time after the tennis club, which used to be on the site, had been abandoned. You can still see the club house in the area where the labyrinth is now located. It is remarkable that the abundance of trees we now have on the Green are nearly all self-seeded.
