WHO WE ARE
The Friends of Albion Millennium Green (hereafter ‘the Friends’) is a group of local
residents and volunteers who supervise and care for Albion Millennium Green,
Albion Villas Road, London SE23 3HU. Albion Millennium Green (hereafter ‘the
Green’) is one of 245 green spaces that were created in cities, towns and villages
across England to celebrate the turn of the Millennium.
The Green consists of about a hectare of mixed of woodland and meadow, the
beginnings of a community orchard, two small ponds and a labyrinth. It has a good
range of habitats and species present and offers a place of tranquillity for the
enjoyment of the public. We are holders of the Green Flag Community Award which
recognises high quality green spaces in England and Wales managed by voluntary
and community groups.
The objectives of the Friends are:
• To supervise and care for the Green.
• To raise funds for the supervision and care of the Green by subscription,
donations, raffles and entrance fees to events.
• To publicise the Green by means of leaflets, meetings, public events and
activities.
PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY
We understand that your privacy is important to you and you care about your
personal information. Please read this policy carefully as it sets out how the Friends
collect, use and store your personal information. By providing the Friends with your
personal information you consent to its use in accordance with this Policy. This
Policy also includes information regarding your rights concerning how your personal
information is used.
HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION
The Friends collect personal information about you:
• When you apply to join the Friends, ask to join a mailing list, make a donation,
volunteer or attend an event.
• When you use a third party website to obtain a ticket for an event and give
permission for your information to be shared with us.
• If you visit our website – albionmillenniumgreen.online – we may gather
information such as the pages you visit or how long you spend on a particular
page.
• Our website may also use cookies from Google to deliver its services and to
analyse traffic. Your IP address and user agent may be shared with Google,
together with performance and security metrics, to ensure quality of service,
generate usage statistics and to detect and address abuse.
• If you interact with us on social media (such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,
WhatsApp) you might be asked to give us permission to access information
from these accounts although the information we are given access to will
depend on the Terms and Conditions of that particular platform.
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
This will depend on how and the reason that you interact with the Friends. It may
include the following:
• Your title(s),
• First and last names,
• Postal address,
• Email address,
• Telephone or mobile phone number,
• Your contact preferences,
• Bank details,
• Taxpayer status (we may be able to claim Gift Aid),
• Donations you have made,
• Tickets for events that you have purchased,
• Details from correspondence with us via email,
HOW AND WHERE DO WE STORE YOUR DATA?
We only keep your personal data for as long as we need to in order to use it as
described below, and/or for as long as we have your permission to keep it. Your
data will only be stored within the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area
(“the EEA”) (The EEA consists of all EU member states, plus Norway, Iceland, and
Liechtenstein).
Data security is very important to us, and to protect your data we have taken suitable
measures to safeguard and secure any data we hold about you (even if it is only
your email address).
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
If we collect any personal information it will be processed and stored securely for no
longer than is necessary. We will safeguard your rights according to the General
Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) at all times.
If you become a member of the Friends we will use your personal details to send
you:
• Information relevant to your membership,
• Information about meetings,
• Newsletters,
• Events and other activities,
• Workdays if you have volunteered to help on these,
• If you contact us by email and we obtain your personal details from your email
we may use them to reply to you.
We do not give any of your personal information to third parties.
You have the right to withdraw your consent to us using your personal information at
any time and to request that we delete it. However, some information recorded in
relation to our bank account may have to be kept for 7 years in case it is required by
His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.
ACCESSING YOUR DATA
You have the right to ask for a copy of any of your personal data held by us (where
such data is held). No fee is payable for these requests and We will provide any and

Occasionally we may need to change this Policy. The most recent version will be
